The Polite Amy Poehler

I absolutely love Parks and Recreation.  Truth be told, that is the only place from which I knew Amy Poehler when I picked up this book.  I had heard about her skits on Saturday Night Live, but had never seen any.

This book is part women-in-comedy, part writing is hard, and part glimpse into the life of the author.

I was half expecting to find that Amy Poehler was Leslie Knope in reality.  By this I mean capable, talented, a bit crazy at times, but full of love.  I feel like my expectations were met.

This book felt intimate like a conversation with a friend over drinks.  I greatly enjoyed reading it.
